What is the Cavern Diving course?

The course Cavern Diving from SSI (Extended Range) introduces you to the fascinating world of cave diving. You will learn to explore covered spaces safely, always within the area illuminated by sunlight and without losing the reference of the exit.

You can dive to 30 meters deep, using specific protocols, adapted equipment and movement techniques in more technical environments. It's the ideal entry point if you're attracted to cenotes, caves and underground structures.

Cavern Diving Course Schedule

The course takes place in 3 days, with intense days that combine theory, practice on land and multiple hours in the water.

Schedule: of 8:00 to 16:00, every day.

The program includes:

  • Theoretical sessions on procedures, risks, communication and navigation
  • Surface exercises and emergency simulations
  • Immersions in real caves, within the limit of natural light
  • Buoyancy control, technical flutter and use of guidelines
  • Gas planning, redundancy and safety in semi-enclosed spaces

What does the Cavern Diving course include?

  • Theoretical and practical training for 3 days
  • SSI Extended Range Certified Instructor
  • Entrance fees to the cenotes
  • Transportation from the dive center to the cenote
  • Water, sandwiches and snacks during the day

Does not include technical diving equipment
