What is the Cave Diving course?

The course Cave Diving of SSI (Extended Range) is the direct continuation of the Cavern Diving program. This training enables you to plan and carry out real penetration dives in caves, following a single route and without access to sunlight.

During the course, you will learn to move precisely in confined environments, to use guidelines with confidence and to solve complex situations autonomously. It is a technical, demanding and exciting course, reserved for divers with good experience and total control.

Cave Diving Course Schedule

The course takes place in 3 intensive days, with advanced theory, practical exercises on land and long underwater sessions.

Schedule: of 8:00 to 16:00, every day.

The program includes:

  • Advanced theory on penetration, planning and redundancy
  • Correct use of guidelines, signage and limited navigation
  • Emergency procedures (gas, zero visibility, light failure)
  • Real practices in caves with a single entrance and exit
  • Stress simulations, team communication, and technical flutter

What does the Cave Diving course include?

  • Theoretical and technical training for 3 days
  • SSI Extended Range Certified Instructor
  • Entries to selected cenotes and caves
  • Transportation from the dive center to the cenote
  • Water, sandwiches and snacks throughout the day
